Head of Cipete Utara Urban Village, Rocky A Tarigan said inundation occurred due to high rainfall which caused the Krukut River to overflow into residential areas.
He added that the inundation at 5 AM reached 70 to 80 cm.

He explained that since the water started entering the settlement, the urban village has been monitoring the condition of residents, including the possibility of evacuation and other needs.
"Up to 7:30 AM, mostly the residents stayed in their house since the water level remained stable," he explained.
According to him, his side is ready to clean the area right after the inundation completely disappears.
"Usually, about 30 minutes after the rain stops, the water begins to recede. Residents generally clean their homes independently, but we continue to monitor for residents who need assistance," he added.
Meanwhile, the Platoon Commander of the South Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Muhammad Nur, confirmed that his team continues to monitor and report on flooding conditions in a number of areas.
"We are on standby at the post together with Water Resources Sub-agency, PPSU, and Fire Handling and Rescue. We also ready to deploy rubber boat," he explained.
