Pramono Urges BUMD to Prepare for Potential Impacts of Global Supply ChainsHe underscored that functional positions are professional mandates that demand integrity, competence, and accountability. These officials play a pivotal role in bolstering the performance of regional agencies and supporting Jakarta’s transformation into a global hub and a national economic center.
Those 521 functional officials across 15 job categories from 11 government departments were inaugurated today. The cohort was largely dominated by the Satpol PP, with 473 personnel sworn in.
Specifically, the Governor issued a directive to the Satpol PP to prioritize a firm yet humane, professional, and impartial approach when enforcing regional regulations.
"They (Satpol PP) must also consistently maintain public order and urban aesthetics, ensuring that pedestrian zones are preserved as safe and comfortable spaces for the community," he added.
According to him, the orderliness of public spaces is a key benchmark in cementing Jakarta’s reputation as an orderly, modern, and globally competitive metropolis.
Addressing the newly inaugurated teachers, he expressed his hope that they would take a proactive stance in elevating the quality of education and fostering school environments that are safe, inspiring, and centered on the character development of Jakarta’s youth.
Further, Pramono called on functional officials to remain responsive to shifting urban dynamics and the evolving needs of the community. To this end, he urged them to be adaptive and innovative while maintaining synergy and a workplace culture defined by professionalism, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Not only that, he urged all state civil apparatus (ASN) to play an active role in safeguarding Jakarta’s stability amidst shifting global dynamics, ensuring the capital remains safe, livable, and stable.
"I hope the spirit of synergy, innovation, and high performance can be sustained to transform Jakarta into an inclusive and competitive global city that fosters the well-being of its residents," he concluded.
