The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) issued an early warning of potential heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Jakarta area from March 6 to 12, 2026.

Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the Jakarta region, including the Seribu Islands, is predicted to experience heavy to very heavy rain with the potential to cause hydrometeorological impacts.
Jakarta Weather: Rain Expected Today"The public is urged to increase their vigilance and preparedness in facing potential extreme weather. Preparedness is key to minimizing the risk of disasters, particularly flooding and inundation," said Head of Jakarta BPBD, Isnawa Adji, Tuesday (3/10).
The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) also encourages the public to regularly monitor conditions through various official information channels, such as monitoring water levels at bpbd.jakarta.go.id/waterlevel and flood updates at pantaubanjir.jakarta.go.id. The public is also advised to prepare emergency supplies such as umbrellas or raincoats and disaster preparedness bags.
Isnawa reminded the public to immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 call center in an emergency or if they needed assistance. This service operates 24 hours a day and is free of charge.
"The Jakarta BPBD ensures that cross-agency coordination continues to be carried out to anticipate the impact of extreme weather in the capital," he admitted.
