Jakarta Planetarium Rolls Out Varied Shows for Eid al-Fitr Holiday

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) has prepared several strategies to enhance services at Jakarta Planetarium during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday and collective leave period, including introducing more varied shows and improving visitor services.

"Going forward, each session will have a different theme,"

President Director of Jakpro, Iwan Takwin, said the company will introduce a more varied show concept at the planetarium once the three-month promotional period ends.

Jakpro Praises Strong Turnout as Crowds Flock to Jakarta Planetarium

He said all show sessions previously featured the same program, but each session will soon feature a different theme.

"Previously, sessions one through four showed the same program. Going forward, each session will have a different theme. This will allow people to watch more than once in a day or return on another day because the content will be different," he explained, Tuesday (3/10).

According to him, the concept will resemble the experience of watching movies in a cinema, where each session has its own title or theme, giving visitors more viewing options.

In addition to the show content, Jakpro is also improving visitor services, including better queue management and ticketing systems to make visits more organized and comfortable.

Iwan said the ticketing system will no longer be centralized at a single point. Jakpro is preparing multiple facilities and ticketing systems so visitors do not gather in one location. Offline ticket sales will also remain available at the planetarium.

"We are preparing several ticketing systems so there will be no crowd buildup at one point. Offline ticket sales will also remain available on site to address various issues that arose previously," he noted.

He added that Jakpro is also developing more interactive show concepts, especially for children and students. With this approach, the shows will not only resemble watching a film but will also include interactive elements designed to spark greater interest in astronomy.

"In the future, it will not just be like watching a movie from beginning to end. There will be interactions that make children and students more interested and encourage greater curiosity about astronomy," he emphasized.

He shared that these updates will begin to be implemented after the planetarium's promotional period ends in March.

"Jakpro hopes the innovations will boost public enthusiasm to visit the planetarium again," he said.
