Jakarta Bans Official Vehicle Use for Idulfitri Travel

The Jakarta government prohibits civil servants (ASN) from using official vehicles for non-official purposes during the national holidays and collective leave for Nyepi and Idulfitri 1447 Hijri/2026.

Any violations of this ban will result in disciplinary action

The regulation is stipulated in the Jakarta City Secretary's Circular Letter Number 13/SE/2026, issued on March 13, 2026. This circular is addressed to all Jakarta civil servants.

"Any violations of this ban will result in disciplinary action according to statutory regulations," stated City Secretary, Uus Kuswanto in the circular, Friday (3/13).

The document specifies that civil servants are banned from using government vehicles—whether for executive or operational use—for private interests, including holiday travel and vacations, throughout the national holidays and collective leave days.

The policy is based on Article 13 of Governor's Regulation No. 119/2020 (as amended by No. 27/2022) on Official Vehicle Management.

Further, it follows up on KPK Circular Letter No. 2/2026 on the prevention of corruption and the control of gratuities during holiday periods.
