61 Vehicles Undergo Emission Tests at Rawa Buaya Terminal

The West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency conducted emission tests for 61 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles at Rawa Buaya Terminal, Duri Kosambi, Tuesday (4/14).

It supports the Blue Sky Jakarta program

West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Hariadi explained, the free activity is aimed at both official service vehicles and private cars, running from 8 AM until 2 PM.

"It supports the Blue Sky Jakarta program by lowering vehicle emissions. While we are focusing on service vehicles and public transportation today, personnel also permitted private vehicles to participate," he expressed.

Low Emission Zones: Jakarta’s Concrete Step to Curb Air Pollution

He explained that the testing covered gasoline and diesel four-wheeled vehicles, along with motorcycles. All nine diesel cars passed the test. However, out of the gasoline vehicles, 13 failed while the other 21 passed.

"For motorcycles, only one out of 18 failed the test. Hariadi said, those who failed were instructed to service and maintain their vehicles to lower emissions.

He expects the program to raise public awareness about vehicle care, ensuring emissions stay within the required limits.

"Out of the 61 vehicles tested, 14 failed. The results for all vehicles, whether they passed or failed, have been logged into the system," he added.
