Lagoa’s Bogasari Park Levels Up Its Child-Friendly Space

Located in RW 02 Lagoa, Koja, North Jakarta, Bogasari Park now offers a more comprehensive range of children's play facilities. These new additions have turned the park into a favorite public space for the local community.

Facilities are now quite complete, featuring slides, climbing frames, and swings

Lagoa Urban Village Head, Yuyun Wahyudi said, these new facilities are part of a continuous effort to improve the Kresek Riverbanks over the last few years.

"This area used to be a neglected riverbank. Our work involved clearing unauthorized buildings, establishing walkways, and adding greenery," he expressed, Tuesday (4/21).

He noted that the area's transformation is a result of collaboration between multiple parties, involving CSR initiatives from Bogasari and Pertamina Lubricants and the active involvement of local residents.

"The arrangement was done gradually, but the facilities are now quite complete, featuring slides, climbing frames, and swings. We have also added sorted trash bins to the area," he explained.

The park’s concept prioritizes the creation of a clean, orderly, and environmentally friendly setting. Beyond that, it aims to be a public space that facilitates productive community behavior.

"We aim to deliver a safe and comfortable open space where the public can exercise, interact, and jointly maintain the environment," he continued.

On the other hand, a resident of RT 16/02 in Lagoa, Ida (47) admitted she is pleased with the new additions to her area. She also appreciated the urban village office for the improvements made to the space.

She noted that the community needs to look after the park together to ensure it lasts and stays a top spot for kids to play.

"My kids are spending much more time at the park now. They are more active and aren't constantly on their devices. Since this is the first facility of its kind here, they are incredibly excited about it," she stated.
