W. Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Enhances Greening at Marzuki Park

West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency has re-greened Marzuki Park at RT 05/03, Kebon Jeruk Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, by planting 110 ornamental plants to restore its function as a green open space (RTH).

"I also encourage visitors to help maintain the park's beauty, "

West Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Dirja Kusuma, said re-greening the park was necessary as it previously appeared barren and needed revitalization.

"The planting was done to replace plants that failed to grow due to several factors," he mentioned on Friday (1/9).

Dirja explained that the planting involved all West Jakarta Tamhut personnel, both civil servants (ASN) and contract workers (PJLP). They planted 10 pink tabebuia trees and 100 pink croton plants.

He has instructed park personnel and Kebon Jeruk Tamhut Task Force to carry out routine maintenance and monitoring to ensure the plants grow well.

"I also encourage visitors to help maintain the park's beauty, at least by not littering or uprooting the plants," he added.

Meanwhile, a local resident, Hafiz, appreciated the greening effort. He said the revitalized park felt fresher and more pleasant.

"Hopefully, not only this park but others can also be revitalized," he shared.
