S. Jakarta Transportation Dept did 1,544 Raids Along May

Along May 2016, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept has done 1,544 raids to discipline vehicles that break the traffic rules in South Jakarta.

There are seven types of raids that conducted, such as 335 vehicles towed, 161 public transports operational is stopped, 121 vehicles are ticketed due to illegal parking and 18 other units are netted due to unworthy.

Further, as many as 88 vehicles are netted due to not having complete document, five vehicles are netted due to passing on Transjakarta lane, and 816 vehicles' tire valves are removed.

"227 vehicles are ticketed and then made in a dossier (BAP)," said Christianto, Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Thursday (6/9).

If it is accumulated based on vehicle type, there are five big-sized AKAP buses, 112 medium-sized kopaja and metromini buses, 141 small-sized public minivans, KWK, mirkolet minibuses, 127 taxis, 98 goods cars and 23 bajajs, 465 private vehicles and 573 motorcycles.

"The raid will keep being intensified. We urge residents to report if you see illegal parking or feel uncomfortable in riding public transport. You can send via qlue and we also have Quick Response Team to follow up," he finished.
