"Residents are urged to increase vigilance and preparedness in anticipating potential extreme weather. Preparedness is key to minimizing disaster risks, particularly flooding and inundation," said Isnawa Adji, Head of Jakarta BPBD on Wednesday (4/29).

The Jakarta BPBD also urged residents to regularly monitor conditions through official channels, including water level updates on its website and flood monitoring platforms. The public is also advised to prepare emergency items such as umbrellas or raincoats, as well as disaster preparedness kits.

Isnawa reminded residents to immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 call center in case of emergencies or if assistance is needed. The service is available 24 hours a day and free of charge.

"The Jakarta BPBD ensures that cross-agency coordination continues to anticipate the impacts of extreme weather in the capital," he asserted.
