The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has issued an early warning for potential extreme weather in the city from April 29 to May 3, 2026.

Based on forecasts from Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Jakarta, including the Thousand Islands, is expected to see moderate to heavy rainfall that could trigger hydrometeorological impacts.

The Jakarta BPBD also urged residents to regularly monitor conditions through official channels, including water level updates on its website and flood monitoring platforms. The public is also advised to prepare emergency items such as umbrellas or raincoats, as well as disaster preparedness kits.
Isnawa reminded residents to immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 call center in case of emergencies or if assistance is needed. The service is available 24 hours a day and free of charge.
"The Jakarta BPBD ensures that cross-agency coordination continues to anticipate the impacts of extreme weather in the capital," he asserted.
