Rano Unveils Jakarta’s Education Policy Roadmap"If it has been made free but students are still being charged fees, the Jakarta Government will take a firm decision on this," he said, Friday (5/8).
The implementation of the free school policy cannot be carried out solely by the Jakarta Provincial Government. According to him, collaboration with the Jakarta City Council is needed to ensure the smooth implementation of free education in private schools.
"I will officially receive the relevant commission in the City Council soon. Providing free school facilities is impossible for the Jakarta government alone. It must work together with the City Council," he stated.
Likewise, regarding the increase in the number of private schools receiving free education assistance next year, Pramono said that this was a joint decision with the Jakarta City Council.
"And for next year, how much will be added will of course also be a joint decision," he emphasized.
