Starting today, Monday (6/13), Directorate of Jakarta Police Traffic Unit (Polda Metro Jaya) is imposing a speeding ticket in blue for vehicles that grab Transjakara bus lanes. 

The fine must also be paid, even though the offender is absent. That is by entrusting money via bank in accordance with maximal fine

Chief of Bin Gakkum Sub-directorate for Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Budiyanto disclosed, law enforcement for Transjakarta lanes grabbers is intensified in order to give deterrent effect. That is by optimizing speeding ticket in blue. Formerly, his side only gave red ticket to the offender.

The red ticket, he explained, every offender is demanded to pay a fine after verdict from the local state courts. As for the blue one, they must directly pay a fine through banking before undergoing misdemeanor trial (tipiring).

"The fine must also be paid, even though the offender is absent. That is by entrusting money via bank in accordance with maximal fine," he explained, Monday (6/13).

He continued such policy will be optimized through surveillance system and strict law enforcement.

It is compliance with Legislation that applies to banks that have been appointed by the government. Namely Law No. 22/2009 on Traffic and Road Transport Article 287 with imprisonment sanction over 2 (two) months or a maximum fine of Rp 500 thousand.
