Tambora Flat Residents Thronged to Cheap Market

Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (KUMKMP) Dept opens a cheap market at Tambora Flat, West Jakarta, Monday (6/13).

First priority is the flat occupant. If the stock is still plentiful, we will open opportunity for local citizens

Relaying Beritajakarta.com's data, thousand of the flat occupants immediately crowd the cheap market that offers various basic needs such as meat, red onion, red chili pepper, sugar and packages containing sugar, tea, syrup, coffee and instant noodle.

Jakarta KUMKMP Dept Head, Irwandi disclosed, the market is only dedicated to the flat occupant. It will be running from Monday (6/13) until Tuesday (6/14).

"First priority is the flat occupant. If the stock is still plentiful, we will open opportunity for local citizens," he expressed.

He went on the say that his dept cooperates with Aprindo in order to smoothen the market operational and to get distribution lane to the consumer in accordance with Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama.

"Governor asks to suppress price and help the flat citizen, the cheap market is held in the flat. Formerly, similar activity was also held in urban village offices, but now we focus on the flat," he told.

Irwandi ensures commodity price is cheaper than price in the market. 

"Commodity is directly from distributor such as beef and chicken meat that supplied by PD Dharma Jaya, sugar from Indonesia Trade Company (PPI) and red onion and red chili pepper from Ministry of Agriculture," he finished.
