3,606 Pekayon Residents Receive Food Aid

A total of 3,606 families in Pekayon Urban Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta, received food aid from the central government. This assistance is expected to help meet the basic needs of the community, particularly vulnerable groups.

Head of Pekayon Urban Village, Akhmad Bakri said socialization of food aid collection at the urban village office to residents has been carried out through RW and RT administrators.

3,738 Utan Panjang Residents Receive Food Aid

"We ask residents who are registered as beneficiaries to immediately come to the urban village office to collect the food aid that has been prepared," he said, Friday (6/5).

Akhmad explained that each beneficiary family received assistance in the form of 20 kilograms of rice and four liters of cooking oil.

"Aid recipients have been registered in government programs, such as participants in the Family Hope Program (PKH), recipients of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and families with toddlers or children at risk of stunting," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Aisyah (53) said she was grateful for the assistance provided by the government. The rice and cooking oil assistance significantly reduced the burden on household expenses amidst the ever-increasing prices of basic necessities.

"This rice and cooking oil really helps to fulfill our family's daily needs," she admitted.
