Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially opened the new Matraman Public Health Center in East Jakarta on Friday (6/5). Formerly located in Pisangan Baru, the project was finalized in December 2025 and has been operational since April 2026.

Pramono noted that the Matraman Community Health Center is a spacious and exemplary facility, featuring a four-story structure. Further, the center is equipped with comprehensive medical facilities.

He also highlighted healthcare services that go beyond curative care to prioritize prevention and mental well-being, specifically for expectant mothers. Further, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the facility’s cleanliness and ensuring seamless service accessibility at the Matraman Health Center.
"Most importantly, I hope this facility is properly maintained and continues to provide the public with high-quality, accessible services," he explained.
He reaffirmed the Jakarta government's steadfast commitment to public health and education services. Then, he has directed that fiscal allocations for both sectors must remain intact and free from cuts.
Jakarta currently operates 44 main community health centers and 292 auxiliary units. The Jakarta government pledges to further improve service delivery and undertake structural improvements to these facilities whenever required.
As a point of information, the Matraman Health Center will cater to a population of 182,809 within the Matraman area. The facility has a registered base of 134,078 participants, with an average daily footfall of 500 patients throughout 2025.
The center features a suite of specialized programs, most notably Lotus Care for TB patients, Taman Asri for community nutrition initiatives, Seruni for psychological health, and Flamboyan, which focuses on elderly care, maternal health, and pediatric development.
