Continued Support Needed to Eradicate TuberculosisThe Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Jakarta Provincial Health Agency, Sri Puji Wahyuni, stated that there are currently 66,072 cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Jakarta, 37,581 HIV cases found in 2024, and 358 positive malaria cases found in 2024.
"This condition shows that ATM prevention and control efforts are still being strengthened systematically and sustainably," she said.
Jakarta Province is targeting the elimination of ATMs by 2030, so it is necessary to carry out planned, integrated, and evidence-based interventions.
"Handling and resolving ATM cases requires a strong commitment and active role from the government from the central to regional levels," she added.
The ATM prevention and control program, Sri continued, will run more effectively if supported by consistent policies, strengthened governance and an integrative and collaborative work pattern by involving various stakeholders across sectors.
According to Sri, this workshop aims to increase the understanding and capacity of stakeholders at the provincial level in implementing comprehensive ATM program integration and budgeting.
"In line with national policies, strengthening cross-sector coordination and supporting the realization of a resilient and sustainable health system to achieve the 2030 ATM elimination target in Jakarta Province," she stated.
