Head of the Pollution and Environmental Damage Control Section (PPKL) of the Sub-agency, Tuty Ernawati Sapardin, said that the activity was the result of collaboration with the Pasar Rumput Flats management who planned to implement mandatory emission testing in the area.
According to her, this policy is expected to encourage all vehicles entering the apartment complex to meet the established emission standards, thereby helping to reduce the level of air pollution in the surrounding environment.

Tuty explained that of the 130 vehicles inspected, including both gasoline and diesel-powered two-wheelers and four-wheelers, 15 failed the emissions test. These included 11 motorcycles and four cars.
"For vehicles that do not pass the emissions test, we urge owners to service and maintain their vehicles regularly so that engine performance remains optimal and exhaust emissions can be reduced," she appealed.
Meanwhile, Bagus Himawan, one of the vehicle emissions test participants, expressed his delight that his motorcycle had passed the emissions test. This result was due to his habit of regularly servicing and changing the oil.
"I received information from the apartment management about this free emissions test. Initially, I just wanted to check the condition of my vehicle, but the results were good. Hopefully, this program can be implemented regularly," he hoped.
