"Investing in Jakarta today means gaining access to one of the largest markets in Southeast Asia," said Pramono, Tuesday (6/16).

He added the investment flow to Jakarta would contribute to Indonesia's growth, strengthen the ASEAN economy, and create added value for regional partners, including Singapore.

According to Pramono, this investment opportunity also serves to strengthen economic cooperation and sustainable urban development between Jakarta and Singapore. During the meeting, Pramono also promoted various urban transformation initiatives to support Jakarta's transformation into a global city.

Pramono also emphasized the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to providing an easy, transparent, efficient, and consistent investment climate. He stated that policy certainty is a crucial factor in building investor confidence.

"We want Singaporean businesses to know that Jakarta is committed to making investment easier, with clear rules, efficient processes and consistent policies," he added.

He also believes that trust and collaboration between these countries will bring mutual benefits. This meeting also strengthens the communication that has developed between Governor Pramono and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong since their time together in the national government.

At that time, Pramono served as Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, while Lawrence Wong held a number of strategic positions in the Singapore Government.

Pramono stated his extensive experience in government was crucial in building effective communication with various strategic partners, including Singapore.

"My experience as Cabinet Secretary for two terms and now as Governor of Jakarta allows me to bridge national policy with its implementation at the regional level. This is crucial for providing certainty and confidence to investors," he admitted.
