Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Repairs Kali Lio Phb Channel Wall

A total of 10 blue troops personnel from the Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency have been deployed to repair retaining wall of Kali Lio connecting (phb) channel on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, RW 08, Pasar Baru Urban Village, Sawah Besar Sub-district.

Sawah Besar SDA Task Force Head Yusuf Sumardani said repairs to the Kali Lio phb channel wall began on May 16.

"Repairs to both sides of the Kali Lio phb channel wall are being carried out under the 2025 Musrenbang program," he said on Tuesday (6/23).

Yusuf explained that the walls on both sides of the channel stretch approximately 270 meters in length and stand 150 centimeters high.

"The Kali Lio phb channel wall repairs are currently about 75 percent complete and are targeted for completion in early July 2026," he noted.

Yusuf said the repair work is being carried out to prevent the channel walls from collapsing and to ensure the drainage system continues to function optimally.

"We are optimistic that the Kali Lio phb channel will function optimally in accommodating rainwater and preventing flooding," he added.

Meanwhile, Adam (38), a resident of Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, welcomed the repair work.

"Thankfully, repairs to the Kali Lio phb channel are underway, so residents no longer have to worry as much about the wall collapsing," he said.
