Area Arrangement on Jalan Radio IV Reaches 90 Percent

The area arrangement on Jalan Radio IV, RT 04/04, Kramat Pela Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, has reached 90 percent progress. Currently, the work is only in the final stages of completion.

Head of Kramat Pela Urban Village, Thia Mutiara said before the arrangement was carried out, the area was in a state of disrepair and the available pedestrian facilities were not functioning optimally.

According to her, through the area planning program, the location was transformed into a more organized area and provided benefits to the community.

"We aim to make this location more organized," she said.

The arrangement, carried out by eight Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management (PPSU) officers since April 2026, carries the concept of comfortable pedestrians and urban farming to support environmental food security.

The land, approximately 250 meters long, is now planted with various types of plants, including orange trees, pandan, bok choy, lemongrass, galangal, ginger, and other plants.

"It is hoped that the results of this urban farming will be harvested collectively by residents. In addition to being consumed by the local community, the harvest is also planned to be distributed to help meet the nutritional needs of toddlers with stunting," she added.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Sabilly appreciated the Kramat Pela Urban Village ranks in arranging the area.

"We hope that in the future, other locations can be designed in this way. They will not only serve as parks but also be equipped with urban farming areas that can support community food security," she admitted.
