Arrangement of Street Vendors on Jalan Karang Anyar X to Be Started

Tambora District Head, Aji Pangestu, instructed the Kalianyar Urban Village officials to arrange street vendors on Jalan Karang Anyar X who disrupt traffic functions and cause congestion.

"This road is a public facility built from public taxes, so it must be usable by all members of the public," he said, Wednesday (6/24).

Aji also highlighted a number of semi-permanent buildings at the location.

He stated that he had instructed the urban village officials to issue an appeal so that street vendors and owners of semi-permanent buildings along the road would tidy up independently.

"If the street vendors and owners of semi-permanent buildings do not organize themselves, the Satpol PP will dismantle their stalls and buildings so that the area is more orderly and organized," he added.

Aji also found that the condition of the drainage in residential areas was less than optimal, and that a number of garment businesses had not properly managed their waste.

"We must be firm and impose consequences. Because the instructions are clear," he stated.

Head of Kali Anyar Urban Village, Iman Suhendar admitted will follow up the instruction immediately.

"We will immediately give a warning to these convection entrepreneurs to manage their waste and rubbish according to the rules," he admitted.
