Rawa Bening Market Ramps Up Waste Sorting Program"We invite students to understand how to sort waste into four categories, namely organic waste, inorganic waste, hazardous and toxic materials (B3), and residues," he said, Wednesday (6/24).
Mian explained that education about waste management is an important provision for students to develop good habits that can be applied both in the school environment and in everyday life.
"I emphasized to the students that the younger generation has an important role in creating a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment," he added.
Meanwhile, one of the students of SMPN 124, M Rizky Pratama, said he was happy to participate in the socialization activity because the material presented provided a new understanding regarding the importance of sorting waste before throwing it away.
"The material on types of waste and proper use of trash bins was very interesting. Many people still throw away their trash without differentiating between types. Yet, waste sorting is crucial for keeping the environment clean and preventing problems like flooding," he stated.
