Joint personnel remain stationed along Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo in Cawang Urban Village and Cililitan Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district, East Jakarta, as part of ongoing efforts to prevent illegal parking and maintain public order.
A total of 35 joint personnel and five tow trucks are deployed
East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head Harlem Simanjuntak said 20 joint personnel from the Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, TNI, and Police have conducted daily patrols since June 26, with three tow trucks on standby to support enforcement.
Street Vendors and Illegal Parking in Kembangan Controlled"We conduct routine patrols to ensure drivers comply with the designated parking signs and road markings," he said on Wednesday (7/1).
He added that more personnel and tow trucks are deployed on weekends in anticipation of higher public activity.
"A total of 35 joint personnel and five tow trucks are deployed to ensure vehicles do not park outside designated parking areas," he noted.
According to him, parking arrangements on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo have been adjusted in line with existing regulations. On the side of the road heading toward Tanjung Priok, single-row 45-degree angled parking is permitted, except between 6 AM and 10 AM.
The designated parking area accommodates 95 cars and 200 motorcycles across three sections, stretching from the Primajasa Bus Pool to the PT ASABRI (Persero) office, then to the intersection near SMKN 6, and onward to the Ministry of Social Affairs office.
"On the Cililitan-bound side, parallel parking in a single row is allowed except between 4 PM and 8 PM. The section from Jalan Bersama to BKN Bus Stop provides 26 parking spaces for cars along a stretch of about 130 meters," he said.
Harlem said the parking signs are in line with Transportation Ministerial Regulation No. 13/2014. The restriction applies on weekdays from 4 PM to 8 PM.
"Outside those hours, vehicles are allowed to park in a single row along the left side of the road. These restrictions do not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays," he pointed.
He added that monitoring and evaluations will continue in coordination with relevant agencies to ensure parking regulations are enforced and traffic flows smoothly, especially during peak hours.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Muhammadong said his agency deploys five to seven personnel each day to assist with the operation.
Satpol PP personnel are stationed from 4 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and until 11 PM on weekends.
"We're ensuring Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo remains orderly. Vehicles must stay within designated parking areas, and street vendors are prohibited from operating on the roadway," he asserted.
Muhammadong said conditions along Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo are now far more orderly than before. Personnel will promptly clear any street vendors or other traders found occupying the roadway with stalls or tables that interfere with traffic.
"We urge the public to help maintain public order and comply with regulations for everyone's safety and convenience," he emphasized.
