Three cleaning staff in RW 06, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, who were suspected of burning garbage in the garbage shelter area on Outer Ring Road, received a stern warning letter from the local urban village.

Head of Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Boy Raya Purba explained the act of burning rubbish which went viral on social media was carried out by three cleaning staff at night, when they were on duty guarding the shelter to prevent people from throwing rubbish at the location.

According to Boy, the three RW 06 cleaners burned the remaining trash to repel mosquitoes. They were unaware that burning trash violates Jakarta Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2013.
Boy admitted that he not only gave the perpetrator a stern warning, but also gathered all the cleaning workers in RW 06, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
"We hope this incident serves as a reminder and a lesson so it doesn't happen again. Not just for them, but for all other cleaning staff," he admitted.
