More than just a showcase of global artistry, Governor Pramono Anung describes the Jakarta World Folkfest 2026 as a bridge for friendship and cultural harmony. Speaking at the grand opening in Balai Agung Great Hall, City Hall this Friday (7/3), he highlighted the festival's power to unite nations through the beauty of tradition.
"I hope this festival bridges friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding across nations," he expressed.
Jakarta Explores Partnership with Arizona DelegationHeld in celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary, the festival marks a pivotal moment as the city nears its 500-year milestone. Jakarta is actively embracing cultural exchange and global collaboration.
Pram noted that cultural diplomacy remains a core pillar of the city’s identity.
Aside that, the city has hosted numerous international cultural events that bring together traditions, ideas, and creative expressions from across the globe.
