Pademangan Community Health Center Improves the Health of Pregnant Women

The Pademangan District Community Health Center in North Jakarta held the Superior Anemia Control and Healthy Emotional Support (BUNGA DESA) program. This program is an integrated effort to improve the physical and mental health of pregnant women, particularly teenage.

Head of Pademangan District Community Health Center, Nur Rahmat said the BUNGA DESA program is a response to the still high rate of teenage pregnancy.

"In 2024, 101 cases of teenage pregnancy were recorded in Pademangan District. By mid-2025, 62 cases had been recorded," he said, Tuesday (7/28).

According to him, the data shows that teenage pregnancy requires more optimal handling through a comprehensive approach.

"Through this program, we not only focus on physical health, but also provide psychosocial support so that they are ready to go through pregnancy and childbirth in a healthy manner," he added.

He continued that through this activity, teenage pregnant women receive support from family members as a form of strengthening support from their immediate environment.

He explained that participants were provided with materials on healthy pregnancies, childbirth preparation, self-care, balanced nutrition, and mental preparedness.

Participants also participated in the practice of preparing a healthy menu using the Isi Piringku method with the help of a food model.

Meanwhile, one of the participants, Nazwa (18) admitted the activity was very beneficial, especially since it was her first pregnancy experience. The education provided increased her knowledge and reduced anxiety during pregnancy.

"The midwife and doctor were very friendly when explaining things. I learned about nutritious food, exercise, and underwent a health check. I will apply the knowledge I gained at home. Thank you also for the shopping vouchers," she admitted.
