Sebira Island is made as climate village, in Seribu Utara Islands. The program is Seribu Island Environmental Office (KPLH) effort preparing its citizens from climate change.
Sebira has no biopore, drainage, IPAL, and low planting
“It is aimed to adapt the climate change impact in Sebira Island by planting productive trees, including providing biopore holes,” said Tiur Maida Hutapea, office’s head, Friday (6/17).
According to him, appropriate islands to run the program are Panggang and Pramuka. Other islands such as Untung Jawa, Lancang, and Payung Besar only passed technical requirement.
