Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency, Marulina Dewi said the event will feature 16 sessions attended by approximately 3,000 participants, including representatives from regional governments, experts, influencers, and academics.

"This forum will also feature national and international speakers who will discuss various developments in digital governance, including the use of AI, Big Data, digital communication, and public innovation, as well as urban mobility," she said, Friday (8/14).

This initiative aims to address the challenges of government digital transformation, enabling the government to provide faster, more transparent, and more responsive public services, one of the examples is through the JAKI application.

"This is how we work, and this is how we can receive messages from the public and deliver services to them through technology," she added.

According to her, Jakarta aims to share its experiences and provide a collaborative platform that can be leveraged to generate solutions for improving public services.

"Many regions face different challenges regarding the technologies they might deploy, and we want this to serve as a hub. That is how the JAKI Fellowship initiative came about. We hope Jakarta can become a hub for this kind of diverse digital governance," she continued.

This forum is expected to strengthen Jakarta's position as a global city, facilitate knowledge transfer to enhance the quality of digital services, expand Jakarta's strategic networks, and foster innovation.

Regional governments participating in this forum will also receive two free applications namely the City Data Platform and the Learning Management System.

"The Jakarta Smart City team or the Jakarta Provincial Government will provide coaching on the use of these two applications," she stated.

Marulina also outlined new developments for the JAKI super-app. The application has been downloaded approximately 7 million times, and around 67 million visits were recorded throughout 2025.

This application features 101 integrated public services, with resident complaint reporting as its primary function. To enhance the validity of resident reports, JAKI has also developed AI Image Detector and AI Recapture Detection capabilities.

Moreover, JAKI has established partnerships with TJ Radio and integrated data through Satu Data Jakarta. The public can also use the app to book tickets for tourist attractions such as Ragunan Zoo and TIM.

Head of the Jakarta Smart City Management Unit, Ponirin Ariadi Limbong stated that the JAKI & Fellowship Cities forum would be attended by various speakers from both national and international backgrounds.

"So, on the first day, we will present this in both English and Indonesian," he stated.

Through the series of events comprising the JAKI & Fellowship Cities Forum 2026, the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to fostering collaboration to enhance the understanding and implementation of digital technology. This initiative aims to establish transparent, efficient, and sustainable governance.
