Jakarta City Council's Bapemperda Chairman, Abdul Aziz said the 69 proposals consist of 49 draft regional regulations originating from the City Council and 20 from the executive.
Bapemperda Eyes 20 New Bylaws This YearAccording to him, all proposals will be screened based on their level of urgency and the needs of the community. From this number, the Bapemperda will select the 15 draft regional regulations with the highest priority for deliberation next year.
"From these 69, we will select 15 regional regulations," he said, Monday (8/24).
He explained that the 15 priority draft regional regulations are in addition to the three mandatory regional regulations that must be deliberated annually. Consequently, the 2027 Jakarta Regional Regulation Formation Program (Propemperda) is planned to include a total of 18 regional regulations.
The determination of priorities for draft regional regulations must take into account the community's needs regarding the promotion of economic growth and job creation.
He hopes that the resulting regulations will have a tangible impact on reducing unemployment while simultaneously improving the well-being of Jakarta's residents.
On the other hand, the enacted local regulation must serve as an instrument to drive improvements in the community's conditions over the next one to two years.
"The needs of ordinary people must be addressed. Currently, economic needs and job creation are our priorities at Bapemperda," he emphasized.
