Ahead of Homecoming, 250 Backup Buses Prepared in Kalideres Terminal

In facing the upcoming homecoming period, as many as 250 backup buses will be prepared in Kalideres Terminal. It is aimed to anticipate a buildup of the passengers in terminal.

Kalideres AKAP Terminal Head, Revi Zulkarnaen disclosed has done various agreements to face homecoming flow and returning flow. Preparation also includes backup bus if there is significant passengers build-up.

"We prepare 250 backup buses from Transportation Dept. Bus operator is also ready to provide backup bus if the bus is deemed still lacking," he told.

Homecoming Preparation is Good, Djarot Says

He explained, the bus that serves Kalideres Terminal is reaching 80-90 fleets on Monday until Friday. Then every weekend, terminal prepares 110 buses with various routes, such as Sumatera, West Java, Central Java and East Java. 

"I predict about 200 buses operate every day during Eid ul Fitr. Based on data of peak of homecoming flow last year, precisely two days before Eid ul Fitr, 485 buses were departed," he explained.

He added also has added a passenger waiting room in form of a tent around terminal park. Additionally, there is also a rest area for bus driver.
