The training program concluded on September 10 with a competency assessment conducted by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) to ensure participants receive official professional certification.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency Head Andhika Permata said service quality in the field is key to maintaining Jakarta's tourism competitiveness at the international level.

He said waiters are at the forefront of service quality in the hospitality and culinary industries.

"With an SKKNI-based curriculum, this program is designed to ensure workers not only master technical skills but also consistently deliver service excellence," he said on Wednesday (9/9).

Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Professional Training Center Endrati Fariani said this year's training and certification program, held in collaboration with LPK Bhatara Tunas Perkasa School and LSP Pariwisata Diyafa Kencana Indonesia, focused on service accessibility.

"Of all the applicants, the 40 best candidates who passed the administrative screening and pre-test were eligible to take part in the program," she added.

She explained that, in addition to training in silver service and customer conflict management, participants received a special module on disability-friendly services to help make Jakarta an inclusive city.

"Through this program, the Jakarta Provincial Government is reaffirming its commitment to developing internationally qualified tourism professionals who can strengthen Jakarta's position as a competitive, leading, and highly competitive global city," she emphasized.
