Parekraf Agency Empowers Content Creators Through Jakfluencer

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency collaborated with Hakka Indonesia to launch Jakfluencer, a content creator incubation program.

"Jakarta can become a leading content creator hub in Indonesia,"

This program serves as a space for coaching, mentoring, and collaboration to encourage Jakarta's young talents to become more skilled, creative, and competitive.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Creative Economy Division Head, Puji Hastuti, mentioned that Jakfluencer is not just training, but an incubation program aimed at producing authentic young content creators that have distinctive characteristics and are capable to becoming strategic partners in promoting the creative economy and tourism.

"At the same time, they become economically independent through digital works," she asserted, on Wednesday (9/24).

She explained that Jakfluencer is more than just fostering creativity; it also opens new opportunities for young people to work independently and earn income as creators.

Puji believes this program aligns with the current labor market trends, where self-employment and the digital economy are key to flexible and sustainable job opportunities.

"Jakarta Parekraf Agency hopes that Jakfluencer will become a solid, innovative, and sustainable community of creators, while also opening more opportunities for independent work and strengthening Jakarta's tourism and creative economy in the digital era," she expressed.

Hakka Indonesia Director, Debra Zuan said the program uses comprehensive approach through workshops, mentoring, group discussions, and practical content production in the field.

According to her, Jakarta has many potential digital talents, but they need a platform to develop. Therefore, Jakfluencer was created as a space for learning, networking, and growth.

"We are confident that through this program, Jakarta can become a leading content creator hub in Indonesia while expanding independent work opportunities for young people," she said.

For information, besides classroom learning, participants also go directly to the field to produce promotional content for creative economy products and Jakarta's flagship tourist destinations. The activities are as follows:

• Intensive training with digital industry experts and experienced creators.

• Field trip & content creation challenge to promote creative economy products in Jakarta's iconic tourist destinations.

• Coaching clinic with mentors to optimize skills in content creation for social media.

• Showcase & reward session, featuring the best works and selecting the Top 4 Jakfluencer of the Year.

A participant named Nadia appeared enthusiastic about taking part in the program. According to her, Jakfluencer made her feel part of the community. She not only learned how to create engaging contents but also gained understanding of how content can support MSMEs, creative products, and tourism in Jakarta.

"This program prepared me to become a professional content creator who is independent and able to earn a living," she affirmed.
