This project directly responds to resident feedback
Cempaka Putih Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit Head, M. Sahudi stated that 13 "Blue Troop" workers have been normalizing the 100-meter residential drain for a week.
"This project directly responds to resident feedback submitted during the 2026 Development Planning Musrenbang," he expressed, Tuesday (9/15).
Tanah Abang Drainage Normalization Targets Late-October FinishHe explained that the old drain was only 20 centimeters wide, leaving it unable to handle heavy rainwater runoff and frequently causing localized flooding.
"We're replacing it with 40 x 40 x 120-centimeter concrete U-ditch drains," he expressed.
He aims to complete the drain normalization through the narrow alley in the next week.
"We are confident that once the normalization is done, there will be no more flooding because the water capacity will be much higher," he asserted.
This work received appreciation from one of the locals from RT 05/RW 14 Cempaka Putih Barat, Sukamto (30).
"Thank you for fixing the drainage system. We don't have to worry about flooding anymore whenever it rains," she stated.
