We require face-to-face registration specifically to block identity fraud
Central Jakarta Population Registration Head, Agus Suryono highlighted that the digital population identity is a vital game-changer—serving as a secure, verified digital ID that unlocks seamless access to public services.
“From January 1 to September 10, 2026, over 52,000 residents across eight sub-districts have officially activated their IKD,” he expressed, Wednesday (9/16).
IKD Must Be Activated in Person, Public Warned of Digital ScamsHe pointed out that IKD registration in Central Jakarta is handled exclusively in person, warning the public to beware of online fraudsters impersonating Dukcapil officers.
"We require face-to-face registration specifically to block identity fraud. It is not offered online," he stressed.
To make registration effortless, his side has rolled out a proactive outreach initiative—integrating IKD drives into neighborhood events, local schools, and community gatherings.
These mobile service desks are also set up alongside social aid distributions at local sub-district offices.
"For everyone's security, our staff are always fully badged with official assignment letters and ID cards. We urge residents to stay cautious and only use certified service desks or official outreach points," he stressed.
