Central Jakarta Steps Up TB Tracing at 213 Locations

From early August to September 11, 2026, the Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency has conducted integrated tuberculosis (TB) tracing at 213 locations as part of the Free Health Check (CKG) service.

21,291 residents had been screened

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head Ilmi Tri Indiarto said 21,291 residents had been screened at the 213 locations across eight sub-districts.

"To date, we have conducted tracing at 213 locations, or around 37 percent of the total target of 578 locations," Ilmi said on Wednesday (9/16).

He explained that, based on data from the Ministry of Health, Central Jakarta has the lowest TB case detection rate in Jakarta, with 12,453 cases recorded against a target of detecting 90 percent of cases.

Meanwhile, as of September 11, 6,355 TB cases had been detected in Jakarta, or 50.9 percent of the target.

"To maximize TB case detection, we are conducting household contact investigations among people living with TB patients," he asserted.

Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin instructed all sub-district and urban village officials to mobilize Dasawisma cadres, RT and RW administrators, Jumantik cadres, and others to support integrated TB tracing under the CKG service and help maximize screening coverage.

"I have asked urban village heads, together with cadres, to accompany the Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency team when conducting TB case tracing integrated with the CKG service," he stressed.

He expressed optimism that support from urban village heads, RT/RW administrators, and cadres would help more Central Jakarta residents learn about the proper and timely management of TB cases.

"The health team can also provide prompt and appropriate medical treatment when TB cases are identified," he added.
