"Today is a proud day, as our nation continues to move forward, step by step, toward our goals. Indonesia has an organized transportation system. It may not be fantastic, but we are making progress. Step by step," said Prabowo, Wednesday (9/16).

Prabowo added that Manggarai has become a new transport hub that integrates various modes of transportation, including KRL, Transjakarta, Transjabodetabek, and the airport train.

The President also expressed his appreciation for Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's efforts to improve transportation connectivity in the city. He also committed to supporting the development of the Jakarta LRT's next route through Danantara's investment.

"I express my appreciation to all those who made this successful. And there was a little hope from the Governor that Danantara would help. I think Danantara is obliged to help," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung expressed his appreciation for the central government's continued support for the Jakarta LRT development. He believes this integrated transportation system will strengthen Jakarta's transformation into a global city, improving productivity, public services, and connectivity.

"We continue to strengthen Jakarta's transformation into a competitive global city. One way to achieve this is by building a better, more integrated transportation system that will simultaneously boost productivity and economic growth for Jakarta," said Pramono.

The total investment for the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT construction reached around Rp 12.1 trillion, fully supported by the Jakarta Regional Budget.

For the next eight days, the Jakarta LRT fare for the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route will be Rp 8 per trip. Afterward, the fare will be Rp 5,000 per trip from Kelapa Gading-Manggarai and Rp 8 per trip from Velodrome-Manggarai until the regular fare is established.

"Rp 8 for eight days. Hopefully, this is also part of the socialization program, and after that, our rate will remain flat at Rp 5,000. We will decide on the rate in October," added Pramono.

The Jakarta LRT development will continue to Dukuh Atas, a two-kilometer stretch, with an investment of approximately Rp 2.7 trillion. Construction of a pedestrian deck in the Dukuh Atas area is currently underway, integrating the MRT, commuter train (KRL), TransJakarta, Jabodetabek LRT, and the airport train.

In addition to development to Dukuh Atas, the Jakarta Provincial Government will also continue the construction of the LRT from Kelapa Gading to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and from the Velodrome to the Whoosh High-Speed Train Station.

Pramono stated that transportation connectivity in Jakarta has currently reached 93 percent. Public transportation users have also been increasing by 15 percent annually.

The Jakarta LRT is fully constructed by PT Jakpro, a regionally-owned enterprise (BUMD), and funded by the Jakarta Provincial Government's regional budget (APBD). The target is for the Jakarta LRT to gradually serve up to 80,000 passengers.

The Jakarta Provincial Government provides free transportation fares for 15 designated community groups. Pramono is committed to strengthening synergies with various parties to ensure improved transportation in Jakarta.

Pramono also reported to President Prabowo that Jakarta's development has driven economic growth, reaching 5.52 percent this quarter, with inflation at 2.5 percent. This economic growth in Jakarta contributed 16.32 percent to the national economy.

Furthermore, investment growth in Jakarta has reached 162 percent over the past two years. By 2025, investment in Jakarta is projected to reach Rp 270 trillion, and by the second quarter of 2026, it had reached Rp 173 trillion.

"This means that the economy in Jakarta is growing well and that is impossible without a sense of security, comfort, and also investor confidence from everywhere regarding Jakarta," Pramono emphasized.
