Jakarta's 2026 Revised Budget Slightly Lower at Rp79.56 Trillion

Jakarta DPRD Vice Chair Basri Baco linked the lower 2026 Revised Jakarta City Budget (APBD-P) to several programs that could not be implemented and some locally generated revenue (PAD) sources that had not yet been fully maximized.

The revised budget was set at Rp79.56 trillion, slightly below the Rp79.596 trillion agreed upon by the Jakarta DPRD Budget Committee (Banggar) and the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) during discussions on the Revised General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS).

"It is indeed slightly lower than what we had planned. First, some programs could not be implemented, and some of our locally generated revenue sources have not yet been maximized," Baco said Tuesday (9/22).

Nevertheless, Baco expressed hope that the reduction would not significantly affect development activities or the fulfillment of Jakarta residents' rights.

"Hopefully, it won't have a significant impact, given that the reduction is relatively small. We hope to continue carrying out the programs and fulfilling the rights of Jakarta residents," he said.

The Jakarta DPRD had previously completed a plenary meeting on the Jakarta DPRD's 2027 Work Plan, along with the approval of the 2026 APBD-P.

Baco urged the Jakarta Provincial Government to promptly finalize the Regional Regulation (Perda) on the 2026 Revised Budget so that development and public service programs could be implemented through the end of the year.

"All development activities and other programs can soon be carried out through the end of the year, with a high budget absorption target to ensure public services and our commitment to serving Jakarta residents," he asserted.
