South Jakarta PMI Assists Fire Survivors in Kebayoran Lama Utara

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of South Jakarta distributed basic necessities to fire survivors on Jalan Teuku Nyak Arif, RT 05/01, Kebayoran Lama Utara Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama District.

Head of South Jakarta PMI, Mundari, said the distribution of this aid is a form of PMI's concern and responsibility in helping to ease the burden on people affected by disaster.

He added that the distribution of logistical aid was a rapid follow-up by the South Jakarta PMI after the fire occurred the previous night.
"At the time of the incident, we also deployed personnel and an ambulance unit to be on standby at the location to anticipate any unwanted incidents," he added.
The aid distributed included 20 family kit packages, 20 hygiene kit packages, five mattresses, five tarpaulin sheets, and 20 new house dresses for adult women.
Meanwhile, Vice of Kebayoran District, Santoso Teguh Iman explained the basic needs of fire survivors who have taken refuge in tents and halls that have been provided are continuously met.
"We, as the local government, would like to thank all parties who have helped. Hopefully what is given will be a field of reward for all of us," he explained.
