Jakarta International Stadium Sets Up Transit Schemes for The Weeknd Concert

Ahead of The Weeknd's two-night concert on September 26 and 27, 2026, the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) management has rolled out comprehensive access and mobility plans for fans.

Fans can catch the dedicated shuttle buses or book online motorcycle taxis to reach the JIS

The measures are designed to guarantee a seamless, safe, and comfortable experience from the moment attendees head toward the stadium until they step inside the venue. The traffic and transit flow accommodates multiple transportation options, including the KRL commuter line, Transjakarta fleets, private cars, and dedicated shuttle buses operating from various pick-up points.

SBU Jakarta International Stadium at PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) Head, Shinta Syamsul Arief noted that JIS is equipped with flexible access options to the stadium precinct tailored to fit each event's requirements.

She outlined that crowd flow and entry points for The Weeknd concert will strictly follow the scheme set out by the organizers, prioritizing security, comfort, and efficient transit for everyone attending.

She explained that concertgoers riding the KRL commuter line can alight at JIS Station, though she pointed out that the pedestrian bridge (JPO) connecting JIS Station directly to the stadium will be temporarily closed throughout the concert dates.

"Alternatively, fans can catch the dedicated shuttle buses or book online motorcycle taxis to reach the JIS precinct. Staff and security personnel will be stationed across the station and shuttle pick-up zones to guide attendees and ensure smooth, orderly travel," she explained, Thursday (9/24).

At the same time, fans driving to the venue are encouraged to park in the Ancol area. Shuttle buses will be standing by to transport them to the BTN Joint Pedestrian Bridge (JPO Bersama BTN), where they can walk straight across to the JIS complex.

"We designed this traffic scheme to cut down on congestion right around the stadium and keep overall crowd movement running smoothly," she added.

Explaining the entry process through Ancol, she noted, fans simply need to show their concert wristband or ticket purchase confirmation to security personnel at the gate.

With that proof, visitors will only pay a vehicle/area entry fee by Rp 35,000 as per prevailing regulations, without any additional per-person entry charges since the ticketing mechanism is integrated with concert entry validation.

"Fans arriving via Transjakarta can access the stadium grounds and make their way inside through the West Gate," she added.

She urged concertgoers to keep an eye out for directional signs and follow staff instructions to find the correct entry gate matching their ticket tier.

Fans holding Festival category tickets can bypass the West Gate entirely, as they will be guided straight to the South Gate following clearly marked signage and on-site staff assistance.

Beyond managing transit routes, JIS—operating as a multi-purpose venue—has verified the complete readiness of its grounds. Crowd control measures have been meticulously planned to guarantee safety, order, comfort, and fluid movement both inside and around the complex throughout the event.

"We strongly encourage all attendees to arrive early, stay updated on official transit and access guidelines, and follow instructions from staff from the moment they arrive until they step into the concert venue," she concluded.

To make travel easier, fans are encouraged to pick the transit option that best suits them and follow these designated routes:

1. KRL Commuter Line: Alight at JIS Station - take a shuttle bus or taxi online - arrive at JIS

2. Private Car: Park in Ancol - catch a shuttle bus - cross the BTN Joint JPO - arrive at JIS

3. Transjakarta: Arrive at JIS - nter via the West Gate

4. Festival Ticket Holders: Head directly to the South Gate
