Jakarta Penuh Warna Edition 3 Highlights Harmony in Diversity

The Jakarta Provincial Government brought Jakarta Penuh Warna (JPW) Edition 3 2026 to the Car Free Day (CFD) area on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, on Sunday (9/27).

Held under the theme "Harmony in Diversity", the event featured a variety of arts and cultural activities that added to the lively atmosphere of the weekend.

The event involved around 500 participants and was part of efforts to expand the reach of cultural activities among Jakarta residents, following the previous edition held around Bundaran HI area.

JPW Edition 3 featured a range of activities, including group exercise, a cultural parade, traditional Indonesian dances, ondel-ondel performances, music, and the Jakarta Penuh Warna Waste Sorting Movement.

The event also featured live entertainment from a lineup of guest performers, including Ayu Ting Ting, Lulu Mudita, 3 Composers, and Nauc, as well as body combat and Jakarta Drum Corps performances.

South Jakarta Mayor Syafrin Liputo said holding the event in the CFD area gave residents an opportunity to enjoy public space in a different atmosphere.

"This morning, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, which is usually filled with vehicles and activity, has been transformed into a shared space. A space where we can walk at a leisurely pace, greet one another, and enjoy the city without having to rush," Syafrin explained at the Plaza Festival Kuningan forecourt.

He added that CFD not only provided space for residents to take part in activities, but also brought environmental benefits.

"That is the spirit of Car Free Day, giving the streets back to the people. And of course, besides providing a space for us to be active, it also allows us to enjoy fresh air in the area," he said.

Syafrin noted that moving Jakarta Penuh Warna from the Bundaran HI area to Jalan HR Rasuna Said was part of efforts to reach a wider audience.

"This is an effort to bring the excitement and joy of Jakarta Penuh Warna to more residents as we move toward Jakarta's 500th anniversary," he asserted.

According to him, the theme “Harmony in Diversity” reflects the character of Jakarta, which is home to people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Syafrin said the theme was more than just a slogan. Jakarta is home to people from across the Indonesian archipelago, with different languages, customs, and forms of art.

The event not only celebrated Jakarta's diversity through arts and culture, but also encouraged residents to care for the environment.

“This morning, through group exercise, the parade, traditional Indonesian dances, ondel-ondel, and music, we are celebrating diversity as a wealth that we should be grateful for and protect together. The event also encourages us to care for the environment,” he emphasized.
