"I have asked the Head of the Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency, Mrs. Dewi, to allow City Hall and the facilities owned by City Hall which have been closed to the public to be opened to the public," said Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, Friday (10/2).

This program will be trialed starting Saturday (3/10) and will be open every Saturday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Pramono said the public will be able to see the governor's office, the meeting and inauguration rooms, and more.

"This will provide inspiration for students if one day they want to work at City Hall," he added.

Pramono continued that the City Hall is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts to build an open government that is closer to the people.

According to a press release from the Jakarta Provincial Government, the Namu Balai Kota program is the result of collaboration between regional government agencies within the Jakarta Provincial Government. The Jakarta Provincial Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik) is the leading sector, along with Jakarta City Branding (JCB).

The collaboration presents a variety of experiences in one series of visits, ranging from history and culture, creativity, city development, to public services.

On a City Hall tour, visitors can explore several important spaces, such as the Pendopo, the Governor's Guest Room, and the Jakarta Smart City management center. The experience continues with the Jakarta Cinema Experience in the Pola Room, which showcases the creative side of Jakarta's journey.

For children, Kids on Air is available at the Jakarta News Studio. Here, they can have experience being a child reporter and learn about the behind-the-scenes activities of news production.

Namu Balai Kota also presents a Mini Public Service Mall that allows the public to access a number of services in one location.

These services include passport processing from the Directorate General of Immigration, Mobile Driving License from the Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Mobile Library from the Jakarta Library and Archives Agency, and Mobile Samsat from the Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency.

The public can also take advantage of free health check-up services from the Health Agency, waste sorting activities with the Environmental Agency, opening a Bank Jakarta account, and business licensing services from the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency.

Population services from the Population and Civil Registration Agency and training on the use of light fire extinguishers from the Fire and Rescue Agency are also available as part of the series of activities.

However, Namu Balai Kota also provides a Community Playground as a space for residents and the community to interact. This area features a Community Stage that can be used for musical performances and traditional games.

Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency, Marulina Dewi, said the visit experience is also supported by digital channels to help the public obtain information before visiting City Hall. Information about City Hall can be accessed through smartcity.jakarta.go.id and the JAKI app.

"We hope this access will help people plan their visits and enjoy the many experiences available at City Hall," she said.
