Transjakarta Reaffirms Ban on Busking in Mikrotrans and Bus Stops

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has apologized for the inconvenience caused by buskers entering Mikrotrans services in Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta.

Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department Head Ayu Wardhani said the report had received serious attention from the company. Transjakarta assured customers that it would continue to ensure its public transportation services remain safe, comfortable, and orderly for everyone.

"Transjakarta apologizes for the inconvenience experienced by customers regarding the presence of buskers on Mikrotrans services," Ayu said on Friday (2/9).

She said customers are required to follow several rules when using Mikrotrans services, including tapping in and out with an Electronic Money Card (KUE).

Although the service is currently free, all customers must still tap in and tap out when boarding and getting off the vehicle. They may only board and get off at designated bus stops.

"These rules are in place to maintain order and safety in service operations," she stressed.

Transjakarta also reiterated its ban on busking, soliciting donations, and selling inside buses and Mikrotrans vehicles, as well as throughout all Transjakarta bus stop areas.

She said reports of busking on Mikrotrans services would be taken into consideration and used for evaluation to prevent similar incidents from happening again across Transjakarta services.

"This report is receiving serious attention from us to ensure that there are no similar activities on Transjakarta services in the future," she noted.

Transjakarta also urged customers to report any inconvenience they encounter while using its services. Customers are asked to note the bus code or vehicle license plate number to help facilitate the investigation of their reports.

"Please report it directly through our customer service via Call Center 1500-102 or Transjakarta's official social media channels," she added.
