MSME Ministry Allies with Jakarta to Empower Local EnterprisesTheir participation was backed by the Jakarta administration through the Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) under its flagship Talent Indonesia initiative.
Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, who leads the PPKUKM Agency, highlighted that the Paris showcase opens strategic doors for local brands to connect with global retail buyers and prospective partners, boosting the international market presence of Jakarta’s creative products.
"This milestone shows the world that Jakarta’s fashion and craftsmanship can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with international brands. It also gives our creative entrepreneurs direct access to global buyers," she expressed, Wednesday (10/7).
Ratu emphasized that showcasing products at top-tier global exhibitions is essential to helping local entrepreneurs penetrate overseas retail channels.
"The key is not merely brand awareness, but actual market entry—giving our local enterprises the leverage to strike deals and build business alliances with international partners," she explained.
She stressed that putting local brands on the world stage reinforces Jakarta’s identity as a dynamic, culture-driven global metropolis.
In her view, global showcases are invaluable for business owners to study international consumer habits and raise their operational standards to meet demanding global benchmarks.
"Being present at the venue allows founders to see where they can improve. It’s an invaluable learning curve that will help them take their brands to the next level," she noted.
Reinforcing diplomatic and commercial backing for local brands, the opening ceremony of Premiere Classe Paris 2026 was attended by Indonesian Ambassador to France Mohamad Oemar alongside Indonesian Trade Attaché in Paris Harry Putranto.
Talent Indonesia is a specialized accelerator initiated by the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Paris alongside L’Adresse Paris. It convenes public institutions to empower Indonesian artisanal brands to scale sustainably in global markets.
“The program sharpens business strategies and drives business expansion by unlocking exposure and market channels at home and abroad,” she emphasized.
