The East Jakarta City administration is intensifying its Free Health Check (CKG) program, which is integrated with tuberculosis (TB) screening. To date, the service has reached 437 locations across 10 sub-districts, with a total of 38,328 residents undergoing examinations.

East Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head Arief Wahyudy noted that out of tens of thousands of participants, 8,365 showed potential TB symptoms and were referred for follow-up testing for diagnosis and treatment planning.
"We're maintaining our integrated health screenings and TB tracking to prevent community transmission. We've set a target of 778 locations this year," he expressed, Friday (10/9).

"This treatment is provided to keep TB infections from progressing into active disease, especially within vulnerable populations," he explained.
He went on to say that CKG services feature blood pressure checks, height and weight tracking, random blood sugar tests, vital signs screenings, eye and ear exams, and X-rays or sputum tests when necessary, he added.
"Through this on-the-ground outreach, we aim to better protect residents' health through early detection," he explained.
Meanwhile, Sutiyanih, a 35-year-old resident of Kramat Jati, praised the availability of the CKG and TB screening services.
"We warmly welcome this proactive outreach service as it is very beneficial, especially for senior residents," she noted.
