Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama insists he will never be cowed by threats that tried preventing him to inaugurate the RPTRA as happened in Penjaringan, North Jakarta on Thursday (6/23) yesterday.
This is just a bluff, it often happens. I have to say, I am not a coward if it's the country's duty
"This is just a bluff, it often happens. I have to say, I am not a coward if it's the country's duty," he said, at City Hall, Friday (6/24).
Basuki delivered has got similar threats from the same mass group. One of it is when he wanted to inaugurate the Rawa Badak Utara RPTRA. At that time, it had to be cancelled because he should accompany President, Joko Widodo.
"I had to cancel it because I have to accompany Mr. Jokowi. Thus I gave my duty to my partner (Djarot). Since that they (mass) began to make a threat that saying Basuki cannot do inauguration, except its vice. This is the same people who try to fight me," he told.
He was also concerned about the anarchy that happens in Penjaringan Indah RPTRA yesterday. This is because, in its action, the mass carried a number of children to participate in the demonstration.
"They bring children, so pity they are. Perhaps children have KJP, so they are manipulated," he stated.
