Hundreds of Residents on Two Islands Receive Food Aid

A total of 300 residents of Untung Jawa Island and Tidung Island Urban Villages in the Seribu Selatan Islands District, Seribu Islands, received basic food packages and cash assistance from The Antheia Project. The aid was distributed at the Amiterdam Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA).

The Seribu Islands Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan, appreciated The Antheia Project's consistency in helping meet the community's basic needs through sustainable social programs.

"We appreciate the concern of The Antheia Project which is regularly present to help the residents of the Seribu Islands, starting from Kelapa Island to now Untung Jawa and Tidung Islands," he said, Thursday (10/22).

Fadjar hopes that the reach of this social program can continue to be expanded so that more people in the Seribu Islands can feel its benefits.

"We have ensured that all beneficiary data has been validated so that the aid distributed is on target and appropriately used," he added.

Co-Founder and CEO of The Antheia Project, Ruhani Nitiyudo, explained that the distribution of aid was part of the monthly routine agenda entitled Sembako and Doa Antheia Sedekah.

"This assistance is a form of our commitment to continue to care for each other," Ruhani said.

Ruhani added that the social program will continue as long as it has the opportunity and support. In addition to helping meet the community's basic needs, this activity is expected to have a broader positive impact, including on local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Meanwhile, one of Untung Jawa Island residents, Sayati (70) admitted the basic food packages contain rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, Jakpreneur processed products, and a number of other food needs.

"This assistance significantly eases daily needs. We can only pray that the donors are always blessed with good health, smooth business operations, and blessings," she admitted.
