Let`s Shop at JAKCraft 2026

The annual JAKCraft 2026 crafts and culture exhibition officially opened at Kota Kasablanka Mall in Menteng Dalam, Tebet District, South Jakarta. This event is one way to promote local craft products, making them more recognized and competitive in both national and international markets.

Cultural wealth of the nation

The Chairwoman of the Jakarta Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), Hani Pramono, said that carrying the theme "Lifestyle, Culture, and Heritage", JAKCraft 2026 is expected to be a strategic platform that brings together the richness of Nusantara traditions with modern creativity.

Tebet Batik Festival Preserves Culture, Empowers Local MSMEs

"The work of artisans not only has economic value, but is also part of the identity and cultural wealth of the nation," she said, Monday (11/2).

Hani explained that through the implementation of JAKCraft 2026, artisans and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have a broad opportunity to introduce superior products, expand market reach, exchange inspiration, and build business networks.

"Preserving culture isn't just about knowing and admiring it. We also need to provide space for artisans to continue their work, while also supporting local products by using and purchasing them," she explained.

Hani invited all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and the wider community to support and use products made by local artisans.

This support is considered important to ensure Jakarta's craft products are increasingly recognized internationally and to boost the economy of business owners.

"Come and enjoy a variety of inspiring creative products, local works, and the beauty of Indonesian culture here from today until November 8, 2026. Invite your family, friends, and loved ones to join in this colorful event," she appealed.

Meanwhile, Chairwoman of South Jakarta Dekranasda stated this activity opens up space for business actors to introduce superior products to the wider community, especially crafts that highlight the characteristics of Betawi culture.

"We hope that activities like this can continue to be carried out sustainably so that business actors in Jakarta can continue to develop, move up a class, be able to compete, and of course have a positive impact on the family economy," she hoped.
