Basuki Investigates Fund for Land Purchase in Cengkareng

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama acknowledged will investigate fund use that spent to purchase the land in Cengkareng. There are allegedly headmen who play and receive such fund.

"Fund streams for land purchase in Cengkareng should be investigated. Or there is a bribe potential from headmen here," he disclosed, at City Hall, Monday (6/27).

He suspected there is fraud action in land purchase. Because, all this time, there are many land mafias in the city. "I think they have controlled the land for a dozen years," he told.

New Land Purchase Rule Launched

According to him, there was removal of a letter stating that the land is rent. As a matter of fact, the land is an asset belonging to the city administration.

"This is our asset. But they told me it wasn't," he exclaimed.

As known, in the report of investigative report (LHP) for the audit agency (BPK), there is found irregularities in the land purchase in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The land as wide as 4.7 hectares was purchased by Jakarta Housing and Government Building Dept by spending Rp 670 billion.
