3-Year-Old Girl Died on the Hands of Her Guardian

The police named LN a.k.a. Yani (17) as a suspect in the death case of Diva Putri Andriyani (3). Yani is alleged to have committed violence that caused death to the victim.

“Investigators have named LN a.k.a. Yaniv as a suspect in this case who is currently in East Jakarta Metro Resort Police jail. She will be charged under Article 80 paragraph (1) and paragraph (3) of Law 23/2002 on Child Protection, and threatened of 10 years in prison or a maximum fine of Rp 200 million,” stated City Police Public Relations Division Chief Sr. Comr. Rikwanto, Sunday (5/4).
Diva Putri Andriyani was allegedly killed by Yani, her guardian, after she got beaten by blunt objects in different times. The investigators also found a number of wounds on the victim’s body. Based on the result of autopsy done at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), her cause of death is blunt force on the head.

Andriyani died on Saturday (5/3). Previously, the investigators had questioned three witnesses, namely Yani (17), Riki, who is Yani’s husband, and a neighbor of Yani. Yani and Riki live in a rented house on Jalan Kampung Baru Klender, Gang Lele, RT 01/01, Jatinegara Urban Village, Cakung Sub-District, East Jakarta.
